Dr, Brian and Betsy Ray: married for 29 years, parents of 8 children, grandparents of two, all homeschooled, have worked together in local, state, and national homeschool leadership for about 21 years. Brian is an internationally known researcher and president of the National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI). With a Ph.D. in science education from Oregon State University, he has been repeatedly interviewed by major media, served as an expert witness in court cases, and testified to legislatures regarding educational issues. Marian Soderholm: Offering hope to parents and students, Marian (B.A. in English, both K-12 Teaching and Learning Disabilities Specialist credentials, and an M.A. in Martial and Family Therapy) provides an educational testing service called Nature of Learning. Consulting and helping teachers/parents understand the way their students learn and how to teach to their strengths, she also works as an HSLDA Special Needs Consultant and a curriculum and resource specialist.
